If another frequency is heard on the local 146.76- (pl 151.4) AC2GE repeater, it is probably the VE2RMP repeater located near Lac Echo, Quebec, Canada.  When the VHF propagation is good, the repeater comes in quite clearly in NNY.  This signal is not coming through the local repeater due to the activated pl tone, but directly through your antenna to your radio.  This distant repeater has a  pl tone of 103.5.
If the signal is high on your radio, and you believe you might be able to hit it, change the pl tone in your radio to 103.5 and give it a try!
